The Export Compliance Manager will play a key strategic and leadership role in supporting all aspects of the company’s global trade compliance program, with a primary focus on export control and sanction compliance, regulatory adherence and internal process development. Reporting to the Global Trade Compliance Director, this position ensures the company’s export activities comply with all applicable export control laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role requires hands-on operational expertise, process improvement skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.
Note: This will be an on-site role. We are open to any U.S. Skyworks location, preferably Woburn, Austin or Irvine.
Export Compliance Leadership
· Manage all aspects of export compliance, including but not limited to restricted party screening, customer due diligence, export control jurisdiction and classification, license determination, technology transfers, sanctions compliance and recordkeeping.
Export Program Management
· Lead internal and external export assessments and audits and improve processes to ensure compliance.
· Provide guidance on Automated Export System (AES) filings, ensuring accuracy.
· Implement and maintain comprehensive screening systems and work with the system vendors and internal teams to improve systems and processes to meet current export regulations.
· Partner with Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales, and other internal teams to coordinate export activities, complete screening, and address a wide variety of operational and regulatory matters.
Process Improvement & Training
· Develop, implement, and maintain export compliance policies, procedures, and technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
· Develop and deliver training to internal stakeholders on export compliance requirements.
Regulatory Interpretation & Support
· Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance on export-related matters, including classification and jurisdiction (ECCN, USML), customer due diligence, licensing, sanctions, and technology transfers.
· Collaborate with outside counsel and consultants as needed.
Documentation & Recordkeeping
· Ensure global trade records are maintained in accordance with government document retention requirements.
· Oversee export classifications, screening, and documentation.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $114,400 - $220,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
