**Job Title: SMT Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled SMT Machine Operator who will be responsible for operating SMT machines and inspecting the products they produce according to IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 standards. The role involves maintaining and aligning solder paste stencils, applying solder paste evenly and consistently, and controlling SMT components in a pick and place machine. The operator will also verify component positioning, values, and polarity, and visually inspect assemblies for solder quality, component placement accuracy, missing parts, and other potential errors. **Responsibilities** + Operate SMT machines and inspect products to IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 standards. + Maintain and align solder paste stencils. + Apply solder paste evenly and consistently across screen prints. + Control SMT components in a pick and place machine. + Verify component positioning, values, and polarity. + Visually inspect assemblies for solder quality and component placement accuracy. + Identify and rectify missing parts and other potential errors. **Essential Skills** + Experience operating SMT pick and place machines. + Familiarity with SMT machine operation and troubleshooting. + Knowledge of surface-mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology. + Proficiency in soldering and circuit board assembly. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least 1 year of experience with SMT machines, 2 years preferred. **Why Work Here?** Our organization offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a Health Savings Account with company match. The facility is equipped with advanced SMT machines and tools necessary for efficient operation. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis Park, MN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
