As a Clinical Assistant at Orthopaedic Associates of Maine, you’ll work alongside top orthopedic specialists, assisting with patient intake, examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure seamless care. What You’ll Do:
✔️ Greet and room patients , ensuring a smooth and comfortable visit
✔️ Take vital signs, medical history, and intake information for provider review
✔️ Assist with casting, and other minor procedures as assigned
✔️ Educate patients by providing medication, treatment, and recovery instructions
✔️ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
✔️ Ensure a safe and organized clinical environment , following infection control procedures
✔️ Support providers by preparing exam rooms, managing supplies, and assisting in procedures
✔️ Work collaboratively with physicians, NP/PAs, and fellow clinical staff to optimize patient care
What You Bring to the Team:
✅ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), CNA, Athletic Trainer (ATC), LPN, Rad Tech, or other relevant clinical credential
✅ Current Maine license or eligibility for licensure (if applicable)
✅ BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
✅ Experience in a healthcare, clinical, or medical office setting preferred
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions
✅ Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy medical environment
✅ Strong compassion and patient-centered approach to care
✅ Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills
